LENGTH: 4 months (two months in each location)

LOCATION: South Africa and Costa Rica

FUN: ★★★★★

PERSONAL GROWTH: ★★★★★

KIND OF PERSONAL GROWTH MOST EXPERIENCED:

I learned to be alone and be responsible for myself. I experienced what a true adventure felt like and gained a ton of independence and more perspective. The world suddenly seemed attainable to see.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK/ACTIVITIES DONE:

In both places I helped collect research. This was done by either driving in a safari car and filling out data sheets and later inputting them into a computer, or taking night walks on beaches to observe and mark sea turtle egg laying.

TOP TIPS:

Just do it. Scare yourself.
